Cadillac Super Cruise, the innovative, industry-first hands-free highway driving technology available on the 2018 and 2019 CT6, will expand to another 70,000 miles of highway throughout the US and Canada by the end of 2019, letting Cadillac drivers go even further with Super Cruise.
Currently, Super Cruise can be engaged on over 130,000 miles of highway in the US and Canada, thanks to the extremely precise GPS data and advanced LiDAR mapping the system uses. Cadillac will add more GPS and highway data that allow Super Cruise to navigate more highways with the same incredible accuracy.
To get the Cadillac Super Cruise range increase, Cadillac CT6 drivers can visit a dealership for a software update, which will also include enhancements to other features in addition to the extra mileage. This comes on the heels of a system upgrade in 2018 that made Super Cruise more user-friendly and enhanced driving comfort while Super Cruise is engaged.
Super Cruise combines a range of technologies that work together to navigate roads, sense other cars on the road, and steer without driver input. It employs an advanced Driver Attention System to ensure the driver is consistently paying attention to the road, and it reads street signs so drivers will be alerted to take control of the wheel again when approaching crosswalks, railroad crossings, and stoplights.
You can see Super Cruise in action when you visit Coleman Cadillac and take the 2019 Cadillac CT6 for a test drive.
