It’s no secret that Cadillac is gearing up to lead the charge into the all-electric vehicle segment, but you may not know just how many new EVs are coming your way over the next five years. The iconic carmaker hasn’t made any announcements beyond its launch of the Cadillac Lyriq electric crossover next year, but there’s a lot of evidence that the buck won’t stop there.
It’s reasonable to assume that the Lyriq probably won’t be the only electric Cadillac hitting the roads of Lawrence Township in the near future. In addition to the Celestiq sedan that’s expected to join the lineup by 2025, Cadillac has already filed trademarks for two similar names: Optiq and Symboliq. It seems likely that these two will join the Lyriq as EVs, and Cadillac Society predicts they will both be crossovers.
Another popular rumor is that an electric version of the Escalade full-size SUV is coming this year. The 2021 Escalade starts a new generation with a full redesign, including fresh styling, interior, and tech. It’s the perfect opportunity for Cadillac to launch an Escalade EV.
Cadillac has remained a revered, all-American brand by never settling for “good enough,” and this batch of new EVs proves that it has no intention of stopping. We can’t wait to see you at Coleman Cadillac when the Lyriq launches, or to check out our wide selection of current models.
