GMC will reveal its new Hummer EV truck on October 20, calling it “the world’s first all-electric supertruck.” GMC has kept details about the upcoming Hummer EV quiet, but we know some exciting specs about it.
The Hummer EV truck will have power up to 1,000 horsepower and 11,500 lb-ft of torque, and will launch from 0 to 60 mph in three seconds. GMC hasn’t announced the Hummer EV’s towing and hauling capacities yet, or its driving range on a single charge, but we can guess they’re pretty high from these numbers.
All we’ve seen of the Hummer EV truck so far is the silhouette and aerial views, which show a long, spacious cabin with a fairly short bed, perfect for vacations and off-road adventures. The GMC website gives us a sneak peek at the Infinity Roof with modular sky panels, providing a thrilling open-air experience when off-roading.
We also know that the Hummer EV will deliver available driving modes for different terrains, including Adrenaline Mode for high-performance needs and Crab Mode for driving on sand and other tricky terrains. Ads for the Hummer EV boast its GM-exclusive Ultium battery, super-fast charging, Ultra-Vision Cameras, and next-generation Super Cruise hands-free driving technology.
