Buick recently released details and photos of the upcoming 2021 Buick Envision — the restyled and revamped version of its popular mid-size SUV. Sleeker and sportier than the outgoing model, the 2021 Envision boasts a new standard engine and a fresh lineup of trim levels.
The biggest change to the new Envision is the modern styling, which takes some cues from the 2020 Envision and sharpens them dramatically. The new Envision has a longer front end, new wheels, and sculpted doors for a more athletic appearance to go with its boost in performance.
The new Envision comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter I-4 engine that puts out 230 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, compared to the 2020 Envision’s standard 2.5-liter engine at 193 horsepower. The turbocharging technology means the 2021 Envision will put out more power while using less fuel, especially when paired with the standard 9-speed automatic transmission.
Buick has also made wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone connectivity standard across all four trim levels of the 2021 Envision. This technology lets you connect your compatible device to the SUV’s touchscreen without the clutter of USB cords. Upgrading to the luxury Avenir trim gets you even more amenities like heated and cooled front seats.
